Keri Fussell was born and raised in a small south eastern Ohio town outside of Caldwell. She was very active in her high school career in sports, as she was first team all OVAC two years, and academics, graduating second in her class. She continued her education at Marietta College where she was a cheerleader, Alpha Xi Delta sorority member, Kappa Delta Pi honorary, Gamma Sigma Alpha honorary, MCTEA, and a "big sister". She studied Elementary Education.
While in high school, Keri grew a fascination with the pageant/modeling industry. People in her community frowned upon the fact she had such high hopes and goals for herself. Despite the criticism and discouragement, Keri took it upon herself to follow her dreams.
Going door to door to businesses in THREE area towns, Keri raised enough money to enter her first pageant. Although she did not place, the experienced inspired her to compete again. AT the national Miss Teen All-American pageant held in Miami Florida, she finished as a Semi finalist. Later Keri won a local, state, and now holds a national title, Ms. American Woman.
Keri's love of pageants is still prominent as she will compete for Miss Ohio USA in November. However, she is now taking the road of modeling lingerie and swimsuits. Her goal is to be in Shape magazine and grace numerous websites that sell bikini's and lingerie. As a Third Grade Teacher in the city of Columbus, Keri teaches her students they too can do anything. She tells them about her experiences in pageants and how she never gave up.
It has been a lonely, bumpy road but I chose the one less traveled. Now, I have no desire to go back to my home town. My belief I have always lived my life by is, "Everything happens for a reason!" I truly believe all of my dreams are about to come true!
